Shiva (Nitin) is a modern day Robin Hood who steals from the rich and unjust and distributes the money to the poor and needy. Over the course of his adventures, he comes to know of a massive 500 crore cash chest in the Home Minister's residence. He hatches a plan and finally steals the money. However, Shiva is not in knowledge of the true roots of the money. It is earned through cricket betting by the Mafia dons and was caught by the police before being locked away at the Home Minister's(Ahuthi Prasad) residence. Now, the Mafia scion in Dubai comes to know that his money is robbed and he as a revenge kidnaps the Krishna Veni (Ileana), the Home Minister's daughter and asks the minister for the release his henchmen and payback the stolen money in return for his daughter's release. Shiva comes to know the whereabouts of his girlfriend and sets out to Dubai to settle scores with the Don. How he does it is the essence of the story…………….

Movie Review


Aadhavan (Surya) is a contract killer who never misses his aim and he completes his target very well. Now, Rahul Dev, who is the major suspect in Children massacre in Kolkata, wants to kill Murali, a Magistrate who has been assigned to deal with that case. Rahul Dev approaches Shayaji Shinde, who takes care of Surya from his childhood days, to kill Murali. But Surya, misses the target in an attempt to kill Murali and he makes an oath that he will kill Murali within 10 days before he submits his report on the murder case to the court. So, he blackmails Bannerji(Vadivelu), who works as a servent in Murali's house and gets in there in a false identity. But his each and every step to kill Murali, goes in vain. A major twist in the story is revealed just before the interval, that Murali happens to Surya's father. Now, is Surya going to kill his own father? Why was he away from his father? To know the result watch the movie.


Surya has done a neat job and the 1st half of the movie is the major plus point which has loads of comedy and happens to be a good entertainer. Roles of others except Surya, Vadivelu and Murali is not etched well, all the other characters comes and goes away, leaving no impact. Saroja Dvei has no role to play anything, just a come back. Vadivelu is the major plus and his comedy really tempts your mouth to laugh out. 2nd half of the story is totally a weird thing which has no potential when compared to 1st half. Flash back story does not leave an impact, Anu Haasan, who comes as Nayantara's mom comes in a good role but the character would have touched our heart if the falsh back scenes had been good and had an even more touching story.


Surya as a 10 year old boy, shown in flash back scenes has been picturised well, though it is clearly evident that it is a graphic shot at times, it was a treat to our eyes to watch Surya as a kid. He has done it well. If the second half had been taken well with good story line and care, the movie would have been a block buster. Music by Harris Jayaraj is aweful. If the movie gets a good collection at the B.O after the 1st week, it can be only beacuse of Comedy.

Even when it first appeared in its candy-coloured version, the original Jaganmohini was a riot of short skirts, crazy dances and bizarre, ghost-filled situations that were more likely to leave you laughing than scared.


Murali Cine Arts' Tamil re-make, Jaganmohini in its re-vitalised and graphic-filled form, directed by N K Viswanathan, is no less in its offering, even though there are a few departures from the original.


Pugazhmani's dialogues are, surprisingly, a whiff of fresh air, in what you otherwise expect to be a stale story. The newer version tries its best to add some pep to the proceedings.


Events kick off with a wedding between prince Jagadhalapradhaban (Raja) and his cousin, Azhagu Nachiyar (Nila), of Sangu Theevu when catastrophe strikes in the form of a huge, watery monstrosity taking a womanly shape to destroy it. It's swiftly pocketed into a kamandalam by the wily Sidhar (Kotta Sreenivasa Rao).


The royal families are duly grateful, and ask his help in seeing the wedding through. Needless to say, the bearded man has his own agenda in helping the prince, and in true filmy fashion, talks you through a flashback that involves more princes and fairy-tales: Indrajith (Riyaz Khan), Azaghu's brother and an inveterate killer, not to mention a thief as well and a completely insane Jaganmohana (Vadivelu), with his cohorts, playing a nadaswaram and cracking lewd jokes...

Peranmai - Story about a forest officer (Jayam Ravi) foils the plan of a group of terrorists trying to enter the country with the help of 5 girls. Watch Online Movie Trailer Nothing is going to stop film buffs from getting charged up this Deepavali. For, 'Peranmai', an action-packed heavy budget entertainerdirected by S P Jananathan with 'Jayam' Ravi in the lead is getting ready to hit the screens.


Ravi has lost weight for the role of a forest officer in this film. He plays a one-man army in 'Peranmai', similar to that of Sylvester Stallone in 'Rambo'. Vasundra, Saranya, Varsha, Tanusika and Liyasree playthe lead female roles.


"I was impressed when Jananathan narrated the story to me. I did rigorous work-outs to suit the role. I learnt martial arts and archery for the movie. Shooting in dense jungles was a great experience," says the actor.


Hailing Ravi, Jananathan says, "He is an actor of commitment and dedication. I am sure that this film is going to be a milestone in Ravi's career."


'Peranmai' is produced by Ayngaran International, a production house synonym with grandeur. After the critical success of 'Iyarkkai' and the commercial success of 'E', Jananathan has been entrusted with the job of making 'Peranmai' by Karunamoorthy and Arun Pandian of Ayngaran.


Thanks to the producers, the film will be seeing some novel technical stuff like helicopter cameras being used for the first time in Tamil cinema.


According to reliable sources, the movie is about how a forest officer (played by Ravi), with the help of five girls, foils the plans of terrorists to enter the country.


Former Mr Universe and Hollywood actor Roland Kickinger plays the baddie. The film has Ravi doing a full length action role as a tribal and forest guard who fights against international terrorists led by Kickinger who are trying to destroy our forest and thereby the ecological system using bio technology.

Kamal Haasan's Unnai Pol Oruvan is much expected and we are seeing the first light of the movie. The audio launch of the movie has been announced and it will take place on August 31. The official release of the event says that the launch would not have the usual fanfare and more importantly no onstage speakers. But the release clearly mentions that all will get their due respect.


The shooting of the movie took place in Chennai, Hyderabad and Puducherry. This Kamal starrer has been directed by Charkri Tolatti and also casts Lakshmi, Anusha, Poonam, Premkumar, Santhana Bharathi, MS Bhaskar, Sreeman and Karate Raja.
